Crab Stew
Time: 50 mins
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup chopped carrot
- 3/4 cup chopped celery
- 3/4 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 4 cups milk
- 4 cups half-and-half
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne
- 1 teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 lb crabmeat
Directions
- 1 Cook vegetables in butter until soft.
- 2 Add flour. Cook roux 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
- 3 Add all remaining ingredients except crab.
- 4 Simmer gently 10 minutes or until thick.
- 5 Add crab. Cook one minute more and serve.
