Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 3 tablespoons butter, melted
- 2/3 cup milk, as needed
Directions
- 1 Sift the dry ingredients together.
- 2 Add the egg, melted butter and enough milk to make a moist, stiff batter.
- 3 Drop by heaping teaspoons into boiling liquid.
- 4 Cover and cook for 18 minutes.
