Easy Beer Bread

Ingredients

  • 3 cups self-rising flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 12 ounces beer
  • 1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine, melted

Directions

  • 1 Sift the flour and sugar into a bowl.
  • 2 Stir in the beer. The batter will be thick.
  • 3 Pour into a lightly greased 5x9-inch loaf pan.
  • 4 Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted into the center comes out clean. Remove to a platter to cool and pour the butter over the top.
