Country Ham Quiche

Ingredients

  • 1 single crust pie shells or 1 pastry dough
  • 4 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 cup half-and-half
  • 1 cup ham, cooked and finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground red pepper

Directions

  • 1 In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs and half-and-half.
  • 2 Stir in ham, cheeses, pepper and red pepper.
  • 3 Pour mixture into the prepared pastry shell.
  • 4 Bake in a 350 oven for 45 to 50 minutes or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.
  • 5 Let stand 15 minutes before serving.
  • 6 Garnish as desired.
