Rutabagas

Time: 1 hrs 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs rutabagas
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 cups water

Directions

  • 1 Carefully peel wax and skin from rutabagas.
  • 2 Slice into 1/2 inch rounds.
  • 3 Place stack of rounds on board and dice into 1/2 inch cubes.
  • 4 Bring water, rutabagas, and salt to a boil.
  • 5 Simmer gently 45 minutes to one hour.
  • 6 Drain and serve in warmed covered dish.
