Linguine With Mushroom and Garlic Sauce

Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 3 quarts water
  • 6 tablespoons butter (I use less)
  • 8 -10 large garlic cloves, minced
  • 6 cups sliced mushrooms
  • 1 teaspoon basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 dash fresh black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 lb linguine
  • 2 tablespoons fresh minced parsley
  • grated parmesan cheese

Directions

  • 1 Cook the pasta in the water. Drain.
  • 2 Melt 2 T butter in a saucepan. Add garlic and cook for a minute, then add mushrooms, basil and salt and cook until just tender.
  • 3 Add remaining 4 T butter, pepper and oil.
  • 4 Stir and remove from the heat. Add the parsley to the sauce.
  • 5 Toss with the pasta and serve topped with Parmesan cheese.
