Linguine With Mushroom and Garlic Sauce
Time: 20 mins
Ingredients
- 3 quarts     water
 - 6 tablespoons     butter  (I use less)
 - 8 -10 large     garlic cloves, minced
 - 6 cups    sliced mushrooms
 - 1 teaspoon     basil
 - 1/4 teaspoon     salt
 - 1 dash     fresh black pepper
 - 2 tablespoons     olive oil
 - 1 lb     linguine
 - 2 tablespoons   fresh minced   parsley
 - grated   parmesan cheese
 
Directions
- 1 Cook the pasta in the water. Drain.
 - 2 Melt 2 T butter in a saucepan. Add garlic and cook for a minute, then add mushrooms, basil and salt and cook until just tender.
 - 3 Add remaining 4 T butter, pepper and oil.
 - 4 Stir and remove from the heat. Add the parsley to the sauce.
 - 5 Toss with the pasta and serve topped with Parmesan cheese.
